Coxor® 300mg (acetylsalicylic acid) powder and solvent for oral solution, is an over-the-counter medication that can be used by adults (over 18 years) in case of suspected acute myocardial infarction after contacting 113. In case of symptoms of acute myocardial infarction, call 113 immediately, and after advice, take 300 mg (1 bottle) as soon as possible. The powder should be mixed in the solvent and shaken until dissolved. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, other salicylates, or NSAIDs. Read the packaging and package insert carefully before use.

If you suspect that you or someone close to you has had a heart attack, you must:

  • Immediately call 113
  • Preferably not be alone, sit down and stay calm while waiting for help
  • Follow the instructions from 113. Take acetylsalicylic acid (Coxor) if 113 instructs you to do so
  • If it is not possible to call 113 (e.g., due to no available phone connection), it is recommended that you take the medication anyway, as soon as possible. You must then immediately contact 113 or the emergency room
  • It is not dangerous to take Coxor if you mistake the symptoms and do not have a heart attack after all
