Common Heart Attack Warning signs

  • 1Pain or discomfort in chest
  • 2Lightheadedness nausea, or vomiting
  • 3Jaw, neck or back pain
  • 4Discomfort or pain in the arm or shoulder
  • 5Shortness of breath

You may experience different symptoms, and not necessarily all

If you suspect that you or someone close to you has had a heart attack, you must:

  • Immediately call 113
  • Preferably not be alone, sit down and stay calm while waiting for help
  • Follow the instructions from 113. Take acetylsalicylic acid (Coxor) if 113 instructs you to do so
  • If it is not possible to call 113 (e.g., due to no available phone connection), it is recommended that you take the medication anyway, as soon as possible. You must then immediately contact 113 or the emergency room
  • It is not dangerous to take Coxor if you mistake the symptoms and do not have a heart attack after all
